How to Remove/Uninstall & Re-Install Microsoft Edge. In this tutorial you can find detailed instructions on how to uninstall/remove and re-install Microsoft Edge on your Windows 10 PC. But in several cases, Microsoft Edge is not working as expected and you have to remove and re-install it on your computer. Microsoft Edge is a core component in Windows 10 OS and for that reason you cannot uninstall the new browser, by using the classic removal method, via "Program and features" in Control Panel. We are an education establishment whereby several staff and students use different PCs throughout the day, and so I need to have Edge just load up to the homepage each and every time.Microsoft Edge is the new and lightweight default Web browser in Windows 10 Operating Systems and it is designed to replace the Internet Explorer in the future. However, for some it stays there until the users clicks "Sign in" and then selects their M365 account. I have noticed for some users, this dialog will appear and then after a second will automatically go away and Edge loads up. This is the one and only stumbling block that's preventing me from proceeding with this migration.

However, this dialog box seems to be redundant, and I am seeking a way of completely hiding this so when users open Edge for the first time, it just opens straight to the homepage. Is there a way of bypassing this? I have set the Edge GPO to ForceSignIn as all our users on Microsoft 365 and I want their browsers to be signed into their M365 account.

Whilst I've managed to get all the appropriate policies configured and it's working how I wish, I am getting stumped by this dialog box appearing when a user first launches Edge: I am in the process of getting Microsoft Edge Chromium GPOs configured so we can carry out a site wide migration from Google Chrome to Microsoft Edge.
